International programming flourished with student-led research and professional learning events. Our annual educational conferences (both online and on-site in Brazil) brought together students, educators, and partners to explore inquiry-driven solutions to leverage technology as we teach and lead for future generations.

Educational Leadership Conference. (Theme: Human-Centered Computer Interaction.) In early fall, we welcomed nearly 100 attendees from Brazil, Romania, Turkey, Japan, China, USA, and Serbia for our annual educational leadership conference.  Internationally renowned speaker Flower Darby served as our conference keynote. Her talk included research on human flourishing, joy in teaching, and “finding your fizz online, in-person, and everywhere in between.” Ta Boonseng, Jill Clingan, Lisa DeCastro, Dr. Sherry Denney, Angie Hammons, Jeff Healy, Kimberly Kester, Dr. Andrea Love-Downs, David Prats Vidal, Greg Soden, Brian Stuhlman, Ericca Thornhill, Dr. Kathryn Fishman-Weaver, Flower Darby, and Dean Kui Xie presented sessions on the following  three guiding strands: Teaching and Learning with AI, Wholehearted Approaches, and Timeless Teaching Tools for the Digital Age.

Partner Teachers Engage in Professional Development at our Teaching and Learning Conference

Teaching and Learning Conference, Sao Paulo, SP. (Theme: Designing for Future Generations.) In December 2025, we welcomed close to 120 partner teachers, coordinators, and school directors for our annual on-site teaching and learning conference in Sao Paulo, SP.  Across the conference, participants engaged in sessions on multilingual competencies, the power of student voice, teaching for impact, and leading for impact. Wholehearted leadership, emotional regulation, design thinking, and wellness were other key themes for our collective learning. Conference highlights included several presentations from middle and high school students who study with us at Colegio Dante.  These presentations spoke to the power of student leadership, community impact, and action research. Our on-site team for this impactful conference included Kathryn Fishman-Weaver, Stephanie Walter, Lisa DeCastro, Jeff Healy, Roberta Healy, Jill Clingan, Renata Vaccari, and Ana Nikolaou.
